Polyphemus

Step 1. Reading

In this step, you will read two different myths about Polyphemus, the Cyclops. These works have different purposes: The Odyssey is an epic poem which recounts Odysseus' long journey home from the war with Troy. Theocritus writes shorter poems of the kind that deal thematically with the quiet life of shepherds.
